At BloemBloem, we believe that a stylish event can seamlessly blend with social responsibility. By renting rather than buying materials, our customers contribute directly to a more sustainable world. Together with our logistics partner Héman we work daily to reduce our ecological footprint and optimise our business processes.
Product preservation through repair and maintenance
The core of work in the workshop is conservation. Whether it’s furniture, transportation equipment or parts of trade show booths, whatever doesn’t have to be new is repaired.
Silk flowers: a sustainable alternative
Fresh flowers are beautiful, but they have a short lifespan and a large carbon footprint. This is why we choose high-quality silk flowers as a sustainable alternative. These flowers retain their beauty and can be used repeatedly, without wasting water or pesticides.
Plants are also reused
Instead of throwing plants away after use, we provide reuse. Plants are given a second, third and even fourth life in another location or are reused in our assortment. In this way, we contribute to a circular economy and reduce waste.
Renting is more sustainable than buying
Renting hospitality equipment is not only practical but also a sustainable choice. By renting instead of buying, fewer new products need to be produced. This saves raw materials and significantly lowers the carbon footprint. Especially with event-specific purchases, there would otherwise be a surplus of materials after one-time use.
A solar-powered building
Sustainability starts with ourselves. That is why we have invested in solar panels, which we use to generate a significant portion of our own energy. This not only lowers our carbon footprint but also contributes to more efficient and sustainable operations.
Smart storage and sustainable packaging
Logistics plays a big role in sustainability. We provide logical storage and smart transportation so that materials can be transported efficiently. Our roll containers are sealed during transport with recycled plastic, which is offered for recycling again after use. In addition, we continuously work on digitising logistics processes to further reduce paper use.
Sustainability in logistics and transportation
Our sustainable approach extends beyond our products. We also invest in an environmentally friendly vehicle fleet by exchanging older vehicles for models with the latest Euro Norm. In addition, we optimise our transport planning in cooperation with external specialists to minimise CO2 emissions.
